Pablo Solo

Musician and songwriter Pablo Solo knew that one day he would make it happen. After years of performing in the Puzzles, the Spanish musician stepped out of the shadows and into the spotlight – emerging as a solo artist. When Solo decided to pursue this dream, he left behind all that was familiar, and he forged a new path with the hopes of discovering his sound.
This newfound freedom gave Solo time and he focused on recording new songs at his home studio. The resulting collection became one of the most critically acclaimed indie albums in Spain of 2020, Alondras.
During lockdown, Solo recorded a song written by John Simon (producer of the Band, Janis Joplin, Leonard Cohen, Simon & Garfunkel) for a national radio program. Months later, Simon heard the cover and recognized the talent of Solo’s musical range. Simon encouraged Solo to record an album. Ten months later, the fortuitous collaboration of Solo Sings Simon came to life. The 10-track album includes songs written by the legendary producer and recorded by Solo in the same manner as his previous album with the only exception of John Simon playing piano for two tracks. The results of this serendipitous pairing formed a distinctive and exceptional album.
On stage, Solo’s performance inspires and excites audiences as they awe at his ability to simultaneously play guitar and bang the drums with his feet. He makes the most of his looper while singing his heart out. When not gigging, he’s in demand as session man and side player working for prestigious and admired music figures in Spain and the US, including playing bass with Micah P. Hinson on his recent tour.
