Pablo Solo, once part of the Puzzles, has emerged as a distinctive voice in the Spanish indie scene, transitioning from band member to a solo artist with a flair for crafting songs that resonate. His 2020 album Alondras garnered critical acclaim, but it was his rendition of a John Simon song during lockdown that sparked an artistic collaboration with the legendary producer himself. This partnership birthed Solo Sings Simon, a 10-track odyssey under Think Like A Key Music, weaving Solo's unique style with Simon's piano on select tracks. Solo's live shows are a showcase of his multifaceted talent, where he melds guitar, a looper, and foot drumming. Recently, his performances have been elevated by a backing band, notably at 2023's IPO Festival at Liverpool's Cavern Club. His latest venture, a 7” EP titled Slow Dancing, features a duet with Spain's Anni B Sweet on a Simon-penned title track, complemented by three originals. Set for a digital release in October 2023 and physical in January 2024, it's a testament to Solo's evolving artistry in the indie music tapestry.
