Born from the ashes of the Merseybeat group, The Kirkbys, The 23rd Turnoff recorded one magical single, "Michael Angelo"/"Leave Me Here", for Deram Records. With the talented songwriter, Jimmy Campbell, at the helm, the group cut several demo tracks, including a session with the legendary Beatles' producer, George Martin.
