Anton Barbeau makes albums the way other people make coffee—frequently, obsessively, and always a little weird. With over 30 releases to his name, this Sacramento-born psych-pop conjurer has built a catalog that fuses power pop precision with cosmic experimentation. Whether channeling Brian Eno in a Berlin basement or scribbling hooks on napkins in Cambridge, Barbeau sounds like no one but himself. He’s collaborated with members of XTC, The Soft Boys, Cake, and The Bevis Frond, yet remains a solo force with a 12-string and a time machine. His partnership with Think Like A Key Music began with Morgenmusik/Nachtschlager and expanded into a full-blown technicolor trilogy: Glitch Wizard and Dig The Light arrived in tandem, with the final installment, Faust, set to close the loop in late 2025.
