The Clockwork Flowers

The Clockwork Flowers

Clockwork Flowers are what happens when you toss British psychedelia into a blender with Himalayan spirituality and Tokyo's neon dreams. This dynamic duo of John and Anthea Bliss have had more reinventions than Doctor Who, starting their musical odyssey in India after deciding that nirvana needed a better soundtrack. They've hopscotched from London to Dharamsala to Tokyo, collecting genres like postcards and proving that "home" is wherever you can plug in an amp. Recently spotted contributing to "Yesterday's Sunshine Today," a Nirvana (UK) tribute album, Clockwork Flowers demonstrate that sometimes, you have to lose everything to find your groove – and that groove is probably in 13/8 time with sitar accompaniment.
