Mikah Wilson and Peaches In Honey (aka Tara Obregon) are what you'd get if you stuffed the '60s and '70s into a musical blender and hit puree. Wilson, an L.A. multi-instrumentalist, creates pop so honest it makes Boy Scouts look shifty, channeling The Beach Boys and Paul McCartney with a sincerity that could melt vinyl. Meanwhile, Peaches In Honey is busy proving that Southern California still has more talent than traffic, serving up dreamy tunes that make you wonder if she time-traveled from Laurel Canyon circa 1968. Together, they've contributed to "Yesterday's Sunshine Today," a Nirvana (UK) tribute album, presumably to show that even psychedelic pioneers need a dose of sunshine pop now and then.
