The Grammy-winning Australian rocker, actor, and pop-culture survivor has been selling out shows and topping charts since the late ’70s—and shows no signs of slowing down. With a knack for welding power-pop hooks to arena-sized swagger, Springfield was the natural choice to take on the Raspberries’ high-octane anthem “Go All the Way” for Play On: A Raspberries Tribute. His version keeps the sugar rush of the original but adds a shot of Springfield’s signature rock ’n’ roll espresso. If the Raspberries built the sports car, Rick took it out for a joyride with the top down and the volume maxed.
