Moonrider

Moonrider

Because some bands don’t just drive—they glide. Moonrider cruised out of mid‑’70s London with Keith West (Tomorrow’s voice behind “Teenage Opera”), John Weider (ex‑Animals, Family), Bruce Thomas (soon of The Attractions), and Chico Greenwood, folding rustic twang into soft‑rock polish on their 1975 Anchor debut. Signed off the chiming “Our Day’s Gonna Come,” tracked at Olympic Studios, and road‑tested on BBC sessions and The Old Grey Whistle Test, they cut radio‑ready harmonies and chrome‑bright guitars—“Danger in the Night” hinting at darker depths Weider later revisited with Gulliver. In 2025, Think Like A Key Music revives the ride with a remastered, expanded reissue that unearths BBC recordings and polishes the headlights. Moonrider: when the songs purr, you don’t need to floor it.
