Right band, wrong time. Moonrider were a mid-’70s group ready for the big time: Keith West (Tomorrow), John Weider (Animals, Family, Stud), Bruce Thomas (future Elvis Costello bassist), and Chico Greenwood (Nicky James band). They wrote West Coast-style harmonies, toured with John Mayall, and even popped up on Old Grey Whistle Test. The timing? Terrible — punk was about to make soft-rock a dirty word. But this expanded reissue finally lets their songs shine again, bolstered by nine bonus tracks including BBC sessions and the non-LP single I Found Love.
