Just when you thought you had SUPER 8 figured out, Paul 'Trip' Ryan pulls a musical origami move that'll make your head spin! Fresh from dropping this summer's mind-bending "Retro Metro" LP, our favorite London-born, Manchester-spirited, Scottish-dwelling sonic adventurer has decided to add 'J-Pop sensation!' to his ever-expanding repertoire.

"Goes J Pop" is exactly what it says on the tin – and then some. This digital EP features five tracks that see SUPER 8 trading his mod gear for a kimono (metaphorically speaking, of course), including a Japanese-language reinvention of The Beatles' "I Need You", two takes on Happy End's cult classic "Kaze Wo Atsumette", and an enchanting cover of Tenniscoats' "Baibaba Bimba". The EP kicks off with SUPER 8's own "Keep Doing It" reimagined in Japanese, complete with traditional sanshin flourishes courtesy of Nick Caine. It's what would happen if Paul Weller decided to open a karaoke bar in Shibuya – and we mean that in the best possible way!
