Most albums are made in studios. This one was made in the Caucasus Mountains, with Georgia's ancient harmonies still ringing in the air.

Nash Albert traded studio pressure for mountain air and 5th-century musical tradition, recording eleven genre-defying tracks where traditional panduri dances with psychedelic guitars and church bells ring through the centuries. The Georgian choir on "Thought As Time" is goosebump-inducing; "Maya," dedicated to the mother who first placed music in his hands, is heart-rending. Reuniting with his 1990s American tour compatriots and co-writing with Enrico Beridze, Albert orchestrates a sonic feast that draws from folk, psych, and devotional music without belonging to any of them. Mixed by Tim Palmer (U2, Pearl Jam, Bowie) and mastered by Bob Ludwig in one of his final projects before retirement.
