Arthur Lamonica, the dynamo behind NYC's late 70s new wave icons The Shirts, has rekindled his songcraft flair with his band Rome 56, a collaboration with his wife Kathleen Lamonica that encapsulates his musical evolution. Bridging past and present, Rome 56’s journey, which includes the standout 2022 album Days Of Carefree Living under Think Like A Key Music, culminates in the 2024 release Paradise Is Free. Recorded across New York and Amsterdam, this album melds power pop, new wave, and roots rock into a retro-modern symphony.
