John Bromley

John Bromley

Hailing from Manchester, England, the one and only John Bromley (born a fine day in 1947) jazzed up the 60s and 70s music scene with a songwriter's pen mightier than a rockstar's guitar. With a knack for cooking up over 200 catchy tunes, Bromley's musical recipes were recorded by the likes of Shirley Bassey, Paul Anka, and Jackie De Shannon, making him a kind of behind-the-scenes maestro. Tracks like "Come On Down" and "This World's an Apple" showcased his knack for blending the nostalgic vibes of the era with a twist of his unique flavor. His pièce de résistance? “Old Time Mover” – a McCartneyesque number that's as whimsical as a carnival ride. Bromley wasn't just a songwriter; he was a music chameleon, adapting his style to suit an array of artists and genres, leaving a footprint in the music world that's as groovy as his tunes. Think Like A Key Music proudly reissues his lone 1969 album, Sing, in 2024. And be on the look out for future collaborations with none other than Pablo Solo.
